Metal Dress Hair Bow Holder

I wanted to try my hand at making hair bow holders.  I found many great items at my local craft store.  One of the first holders I made was from a metal decorative wall decor shaped as a dress.  It was very cute!  Although I forgot to take a before picture, it was very simple to dress up this wall decoration.

Supplies Needed:
  • Hot glue gun & glue sticks
  • Ribbon of your choice
  • Decorative Piece (I chose this metal wall decoration)
I simply took my ribbon and cut pieces long enough for the length of each section I was gluing the ribbon to, plus about an extra inch at each end to make sure I had enough.  Then I heat sealed the ends of my ribbon, (The satin ribbon I chose to use would have unraveled very quickly had I not done this).

Next I took a piece of ribbon and starting at the bottom of each section, I glued the end of my ribbon around the metal rod at the bottom of my wall decor.

Then I would take that piece of ribbon and pull it tight around the top piece of metal, and glue into place. Do this for every piece of ribbon.

Once I had glued all my ribbon into place, I added an extra piece of ribbon to the "waist" of the dress as an added touch.

I finished this holder by adding a bow to the top!  And Voila!!!  You have an easy, but adorably cute bow holder!

Just a note....his particular wall decor came with several hooks attached.  They are PERFECT for hanging crocheted or elastic headbands on!!
